My Starting Point...
I am proud to announce, that I finally worked up enough courage to publish my FIRST blog post. Writing has always been a passion of mine and starting my blog has been long overdue. I am embarrassed to say I have been paying for a custom domain name for a while; but I never officially started blogging. I let my fears and doubts get the best of me, year after year. But here I am, sharing my first post with the world. One of my favorite influencers on Instagram (lola.akw), posted a video last week that encouraged fellow creators to stop overthinking, procrastinating and hoarding content. After watching her video, I instantly felt inspired to get started. I can honestly say I wasted so much time procrastinating and thinking so negatively about the blog I had not started. “What if people don’t read it?” “What if people think I’m not a good writer?” “My blog will never be as good as theirs.” Thinking negatively will get you nowhere in life! Start speaking positive affirmations over your dreams/goals, (I am working on this each and everyday, it is truly a process). I know it is easier said than done, but you must step out of your comfort zone and start. Do not worry about what people will think. Yes, chasing your dreams and starting something new can be terrifying; but you will always have someone rooting for you. I want to encourage you, to just START. Start the blog, business, YouTube…etc. It does not have to be perfect; you just need to get started.
Okay, now that I got that out the way, let us jump into my outfit details. First, this pastel flowy dress is everything to me. It is extremely comfortable and light weight. The dress features a semi-sheer V-neck floral top layer with long sleeves that have ruffled elastic cuffs and interior lining. I was obsessed with the colors as soon as I spotted this dress at Zara. I am not sure if it is just me; but I have been going crazy over pastels colors lately, especially lavender. I hope all my fellow shopaholics took advantage of Zara’s semi-annul sale. I snagged this dress for only $19.99. I love a good dress & sneaker combo so, I had to pair this dress with my 990v5 New Balances. I must admit that I wanted these sneakers for months! I basically waited the entire summer for them to be restocked on KidsFootLocker.com. If you have smaller feet, I suggest finding out what size you wear in kids’ shoes and save some coins the next time you purchase a pair of sneakers. I thought my picnic basket purse and purple sunglasses were a great addition. This outfit was the perfect look to have brunch at Cantina Rooftop, with a few of my favorite people.
