Wine is my love language.

Yikes..!! It’s been almost two months and I’m just now posting about my birthday. Procrastination is my enemy. Say a prayer for me y’all…but before you do that, finish reading through this post :).

Cheers to turning 28 (on July 19)! I’m so blessed to see another year. I’ve been so nervous to turn 28…because of the internet! The internet has a crazy way of making you feel behind by placing milestone events on particular ages. I started to think about the things that society said I should be doing or have by 28! Struggling to fight through these thoughts, I managed to calm down and enjoy the moment.

“You have time!’’

You have time to accomplish all of your goals and dreams. Don’t get so caught up on the timeline society has imprinted in our minds. Just keep putting in the work, taking life day by day & most importantly enjoying the present!

I celebrated my birthday at Château Élan. North Georgia’s premier destination resort. I first saw this winery on TikTok and the girlies were loving it! This had to be the best winery I’ve ever been to. Château Élan has over 4 restaurants, a spa, hotel, golf/tennis courts, wine tastings & tours. The views were breathtaking and they offered an array of rich wines for you to try. My girlfriends and I, had the pleasure of having Aviana (sommelier) as our lovely tour guide. Sis, delivered. I love how she put her own spin on the information and kept everyone engaged. This experience was definitely a 20/10 for me! I plan to go back in the fall to participate in their grape stomping class. ** Stay tone for that content! And, yes, I will be requesting Aviana for that class/tasting. Now, let’s get into this look. As always, I was very indecisive about what I wanted to wear on my birthday. After a while, I gave up looking and turned to my closet for a miracle. I originally spotted this dress in Zara and left it behind because I felt it was too expensive. It randomly went on sale and I went back, tried it on & purchased it. It had been sitting in my closet for awhile and I wasn’t sure when I was going to wear it. I’m so happy I had it stashed away, it fit the winery vibes perfectly.

I paired this dress with my vintage coach bag…(Y’all know I love this bag). My brown quilted slides from Zara. Oval shaped blue earrings. S/O to my best friend for gifting me with them.
