patience is a virtue.
Hey y’all,
First, Happy belated New Year’s lol. I hope your new year is off to an amazing start. Please finish those vision boards if you haven’t done so already. We’re achieving all of our goals in 2023 by the grace of God. *Amen, Amen*
I’m going to try to keep this post short and sweet. Of course, I’m going to share my outfit details; but before that, I want to share some random updates. ;)
1. I moved back up North and I’m still getting settled in. I need some recommendations on where to find affordable furniture.
2. I’ve been working in my new role for six months now. Time is really flying. Although, I love going into the office to show off my outfits. *Flips hair lol* I have to admit that there’s something about working from home that just brings me so much joy.
3. I walked in my second fashion show two weeks ago. Tiana, really out did herself with this production. Overall, my walk has improved; but I still need to get consistent with practicing.
4. I got some professional headshots taken, and I manifesting more modeling opportunities this year.
5. TikTok made me get my nails red and now I’m a firm believer in the “Red Nail Theory”. IYKYK
6. Blazin’ Buffalo & Ranch Doritos are a thing again. Idk, if you guys remember, but that flavor was discontinued for a while & it’s back now!! I felt zero shame, buying 3 bags at Walmart last night.
7. Anthropologie’s kitchenware has me in a chokehold and I kinda like the whole random theme that I have going on in my kitchen.
8. I’m currently reading Atomic Habits. I’ve been thinking about starting a book club or podcast this year… so stay tuned for that.
9. I’ve been working on my patience. Tbh, I feel as though I’ve been more patient with others, as well as, myself. Although, I have a long way to go… I’m proud of how well I’ve been doing thus far.
10. I watched “You People” over the weekend and I’ve seen so many mixed reviews. Have you guys watched it? If so, what are your thoughts?
Now let’s get into this look….
I’m obsessed with the “Lady Lux” layering tops from Free People. I’ve started my collection and I won’t stop until I have every color. This layering top adds the perfect amount of sexy to every look. This dress is a heavy knit material, that’s well made and the perfect length on me. I give this dress a 20 out of 10 and of course I got a discount. Y’all know I love a good deal!! To finish off this look, I paired it with my knee-high, black, chunky heel, Jeffrey Campbell boots. My leather trench coat from Zara and my caged bag. And like I always say, a look is not complete unless you add a pair of sunnies. So, I added a simple matte grey pair.
Disclaimer: These pictures are super old. I took them when I went to brunch with Jazz, before I left Atlanta. I just felt like the world finally deserved to see them. If you’re interested in keeping up with my life, a little bit more, give me a follow on Instagram @Mylifeasaj_
